Seeing in Stripes
The modern art world is full of stripes and I wanted a go at it too. I have started with the semi-ordered structures of halftone mosaics and overlaid cloudy gradients. I wanted the colors to have a burnished look and also did not shy away from big pixels in the slightest.
The resulting series Stratiscopy1 captures the mood of landscapes like swamps and corn fields changing over the seasons while remaining firmly abstract. I think you can really immerse yourself in these imaginary landscapes.
