Chroma Switchback
False-Color Worlds
I was marveling at caustics in shallow water. Wanting to bring out its peculiar texture through digital photo enhancement, I have created a series of phosphorescent dreamscapes. I have expanded the method to other subjects, making cyclopean still lifes out of old heat pipes and algae.
From the beginning I have peculiarly thought of these images as being found objects, corroded metal carrier plates. I have stayed in the macro photography range with the series. I thought the way you take up the ant perspective is an important part of the Chroma Switchback aesthetic.
