The artist was very impressed by the Commedia dell’arte, the ancient Italian theater that thrived on improvised street shows. She exaggerated the classic canon of figures with images that at the same time radiate a quiet mockery as well as an exposed mood. Her main motif was the funny-sad clown. She used him as her starting point to create a series of exaggerated artists. As an eye-catcher, it was influenced by cubism.
In the section »Solemn Comedy« we list twenty-two different motifs in dozens of variations. We have prepared some motifs for the art market. Talk to us!
